Join us on this incredible half day Johannesburg safari tour to the Plumari Private Reserve, the closest you will get to the Big 5 in their natural environment from Johannesburg. This tour is the perfect getaway option for travellers with a yearning for a unique and interactive safari experience while avoiding the crowds.
The safari is situated just over an hour’s drive from centrally located hotels in the Johannesburg area. The drive takes us in a North Westerly direction through the scenic Magaliesberg Mountains towards the Plumari Private Reserve. This half-day safari tour offers guests a memorable Big 5 safari experience with a difference. The game drives are conducted on open air vehicles with a qualified game ranger who has intimate knowledge of the area and animals within the area.
The tour is concluded with a historical and cultural encore…African Style!! The day visitor’s center is a combination of earthly colours and unique tribal décor mixed with the traditional Boer farmhouse style of living. This kind of architecture pays homage to the history and culture of both cultures and the roles they have played in the creation of the South Africa of today.

What to expect on this half-day Johannesburg safari tour
The first part of the half day tour involves an incredible 2.5 hour safari on our open air game vehicles. The reserve is home to the Big 5 as well as a host of other animals. So under the capable captainship of your ranger we embark on a journey into the African Bush in search of the wildlife that include elephant, zebra, lions, rhino, impala, buffalo, leopard and many other indigenous animals.
