Ultimate Cape Point and Peninsula Day Tour (fully inclusive)
This incredible day tour from Cape Town is not your average tour!!
We take you on an adventure into the heart of the fairest Cape exploring the Cape Point and the Peninsula.
Our day tours from Cape Town are led by our fun and experienced South African guides who not only love what they do but love sharing their local knowledge. They are dedicated to ensuring your experience is one to remember!!! Our groups are kept small so we can spend time interacting with our guests and ensure that the tour is overall a ‘mind-blowing’ experience.
This tour starts off with a visit to the massive headland known as Cape Point. Witness the incredible symphony of energy as the mighty Indian and Atlantic oceans crash into each other in a loving embrace. The area was declared a World Heritage site and is 7750 hectares of pure awesomeness. If rugged beauty is what you seek, this tour is for you. Abundant in various types of fauna and flora from baboons to the mountain zebra to over 250 species of twittering bird species, Cape Point is a nature lover’s heaven.
Beautiful Cape Point and Peninsula Day Tour Experience
Cape Point is also shrouded in history. Infamous for its rough seas and volatile weather conditions, in 1488 Bartolomeu Dias aptly named the area the ‘Cape of Storms’. And the Point has been both the savior and taunter of sailors the world over. By day the looming cliffs serve as beacon of hope from a navigational point of view. But by night or in thick fog, it becomes a menace beset by violent storms and dangerous rocky outcrops that has resulted in hundreds of shipwrecks through the centuries.
The second part of the tour involves a scenic tour around the famous Peninsula of Cape Town visiting some of the picturesque towns that make up this beautiful area. Some of the towns we visit are Hout Bay, ( where we take a boat ride to Seal Island) Chapmins Peak drive, Boulders Beach where we spend some time observing the penguins and Simons Town, the navel headquarters of South Africa. Overall one of our most popular day tours from Cape Town as it encompasses a wide variety of activities and areas.

Day 1
Guests are picked up from their hotel at 08H30 by one of our cheerful and laid back ‘Cape Townian’ guides. By the way, Cape Town is renowned for its ‘laid back’ atmosphere-isn’t that just the perfect setting for your time away? The first part of the day tour sees us heading along the Atlantic seaboard to Clifton and Camps Bay to see how the rich and famous live. There is an incredible view point at Llandudno where we stop for a while to absorb the incredible scenery.
Then we hop back into the car and head off towards the quaint fishing town of Hout Bay. If the weather is not too bad, we hop onto one of the boat charters and take the 1 hour boat ride to Seal Island. Make sure you pack you sea legs for this!! Oh and maybe a tissue or two for the lovely stench of the seals. Once back on dry land we head through to one of the worlds most scenic and breath-taking coastal drives known as Chapmans Peak. If this drive does not leave you breathless then not much will. We will stop at a few of the view points so you can soak in the magic of this drive-easily rated as one the best in the world. Once through the pass we drive through to the Cape of Good Hope, the home of the infamous Cape Pint. We mean Point. Unless of course you feel up for an ice cold pint of Cape Town beer that is. This nature reserve is home to the famous fynbos plant species that is abundant in the Cape as well as a variety of endemic antelope and zebra species. And oh yes….there are hundreds of baboons that frequent the area. Funny little guys that just add a bit of character to Cape Point.
After lunch we drive through to the Naval headquarters of South Africa known as Simons Town. The charming Victorian architecture is quite something to take in. We will also spend some time at the Boulders Beach with the resident inhabitants-penguins. These cute little guys will steal your heart… and hopefully not your wallet. The final part of the day tour sees us spending some time at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which showcases 5 of South Africa’s six different biospheres.
