SA Adventures – Terms and Conditions

1. Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services

SA Adventures is a business in the tourism and adventure industry that offers guided outdoor experiences, tours, and related adventure activities within South Africa, both directly and on behalf of contracted tour operators.

2. Delivery Policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, bookings are confirmed instantly upon receipt of payment.

Booking confirmations will be sent via email within 10 minutes of completion of payment.

All services are delivered on the agreed booking date and location.

3. Returns and Refunds Policy

The provision of services by SA Adventures is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, SA Adventures will refund the client in full within 30 days.

Cancellation of bookings by the client will attract cancellation fees calculated as a percentage of the total booking value, as follows:

  • More than 7 days before booking: 10% of the total booking value
  • 3–7 days before booking: 25% of the total booking value
  • 48–72 hours before booking: 50% of the total booking value
  • Less than 48 hours before booking: 100% of the total booking value

No-shows will not be eligible for any refund.

In the event of a cancellation by the operator, the client will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule, subject to availability.

Refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days after approval.

4. Customer Privacy Policy

SA Adventures shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “Personal Information” shall be defined as detailed in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

5. Payment Options Accepted

Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard, or by bank transfer into the SA Adventures bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

6. Payment Processing (Card Transactions)

Card transactions will be acquired for SA Adventures via Payfast by Network, who are the approved payment gateway for all South African acquiring banks.

Payfast uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3), and no card details are stored on the website.

Users may visit https://payfast.io/ to view their security certificate and security policy.

7. Customer Details Separate from Card Details

Customer details will be stored by SA Adventures separately from card details, which are entered by the client on Payfast’s secure site.

8. Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa.

Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

9. Responsibility

SA Adventures takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction, including the sale of services, customer service and support, dispute resolution, and delivery of services.

10. Country of Domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and SA Adventures chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement:

11. Variation

SA Adventures may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
