Join this incredible tour that covers two of the most iconic areas of South Africa-The Drakensberg Mountains and the Kruger Park. The first 4 days of the 7 day Drakensberg Hike and Kruger Park Safari Combo involves a challenging hike to the summit of the highest mountain in South Africa known as Mafadi.
The hike covers on average 14km/8 miles a day with elevation gains of up to 900/2900ft per day. This guided hike is situated in the remote and pristine mountains of the Injasuthi area.
Part two of this incredible tour is touch more laid back as you indulge yourself in a 3 day safari to the Kruger Park. Heavy backpacks, sleeping in tents and trekking are traded in for chilled out game drives, scrumptious dinners and of course….the luxury of a bed in the beautiful Sabie River Bush Lodge situated on the banks of the iconic Sabie River.
This combo tour is basically all inclusive and you will be accompanied from day one by our mountain and wildlife experts. All you need to do is show up!!!

The tour starts and ends in Johannesburg. You will be met by your guide at 5am, load up the vehicle and take the 5 hour drive down to the Injasuthi Parks Board. Upon arrival we will take a short break and prepare for the hike ahead. The hike covers about 10km over about 5 hours. We will set up camp by the old Centenary Ranger Hut. (Lunch and Dinner provided)

After breakfast we start our ascent of the beautiful Corner Pass. The height gain today is just over 1000m and is basically straight up. Yes today is going to be tough, but we promise you the reward will be well worth the effort. This part of the Drakensberg is rated by local hikers as one the most secluded and beautiful areas of the Drakensberg. ( Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided)
Some of the main peaks to look out for include the Injasuthi Buttress and The Trojan Wall as well as The Judge. Our campsite will be in the Upper Injasuthi Cave situated at 3300m.

We wake up at 5:30am and start our summit attempt at 6:30am. It takes about an hour to reach the summit. We then make our way to Leslies Pass which is a 5km hike away from the summit. We will have breakfast along the way. After breakfast, we begin our descent back into South Africa via Leslies Pass. The route down is pretty steep. There is nothing technical about it and ropes are not needed, but it may still be slow going as we are going to drop nearly 1000m in altitude over about 3 km. We start the hike as early as possible as the hiking distance is about 11km over 10 hours. We aim to make Marble Baths Cave by late afternoon. . ( Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner provided)

We wake up at 6am, have breakfast and take the 8km hike back to the start of the hike-An easy hike today. We aim to be back at the Parks Bard by 10am and on the road back to Johannesburg by 11am. The drive back takes 5 hours. We can drop you at you’re a guest house in Johannesburg by 4pm. We make use of a guest house on a Golfing Estate just outside of Johannesburg. (Breakfast provided)
We pick you up at 6am from your hotel. We then take the scenic 5 hour drive through to the Sabie River Bush Lodge situated in the iconic Sabie River.( Subject to availability at time of booking) Upon arrival at about 1pm latest, we check you in and allow you a few hours chill time by the pool. At 4:30pm we depart for the Paul Kruger Gate and embark on a 3 hour game drive through the Kruger. The late afternoon is the best time to spot the predators like lion and hyena. We aim to be back by 8:30pm. Then its dinner under the African skies and bedtime. ( Breakfast and Dinner provided)
Wake up call at 05H00.An early and activity packed day. We leave the camp at 5:30 am and spend the whole day on an open air game drive through the Kruger in search of animals. Breakfast will be provided on the drive as well as a nice cup of coffee. We should be back by 4pm. Dinner from 7:30pm. (Breakfast and Dinner provided). We visit on of the rest camps for lunch
Wake up at leisure. Breakfast will be served until 9:30 am. Ready to leave by 10:30am. We should be back in Johannesburg by about 4:30pm (Breakfast provided)
