Walking Holidays South Africa

Walking Holidays South Africa

Walking Holidays South Africa is proudly presented by South Africa Adventures. We are born and bred in South Africa and have been hiking all over our wonderful countries since we were toddlers. We  know our pristine countryside better than any offshore tour operator ever could.

An introduction to our walking holidays in South Africa

So grab yourself a glass of wine, relax, and explore our selection of the best walking holidays in South Africa.  On all of our guided walking tours  we have identified South Africa’s most iconic ‘bucket-list’, and ‘off-the-beaten-track’ walking destinations. We have hand-picked elegant, family owned, 4 star accommodation to stay in along the tour. Or if you prefer to rough it, we will provide tents and camping equipment to survive in the remote mountains of the Drakensberg or Oteniqua.

TIA !! This Is Africa.

Trust us when we say you won’t be able to catch a taxi to our hiking locations from the airport. Most of these hidden gems lie deep in our national parks and mountainous regions accessed only on foot or by our trusty old 1989 Landrover Defender.  These are the the places that helped create our fondest childhood  holiday memories. Places we proposed to our spouses at. Places we learnt about life. They are secret hideaways that we’ve always kept under our well worn hiking boots – until now.

Our walking Holiday Guides

We have recruited some of the best local guides in South Africa. They have an absolute passion for what they do. Most of the guides have been walking in the Drakensberg since they were kids.  So they have intimate knowledge of the locations we hike in. Their job is to make sure you have a great experience. But “great” isn’t enough in our view. It has to be exceptional, and leave a lasting imprint on you. That’s why we take great care when it comes to recruiting our guiding team. We hire the cream of the crop, and take your walking holiday in South Africa from “great” to “absolutely incredible”.
