1 Day Great White Shark Cage Diving

You are probably going to be so scared you won’t be able to make the drive through to the Great White Capital of the world. So let us take care of all your tour needs.

We will collect you from Cape Town and take the 2.5 hour drive through to Gansbaai. The route is mind blowing in terms of scenery as we journey over the Hottentots-Holland Mountains past beautiful lakes, rocky outlets and wine farms. We pass through Hermanus which is famous for its whale sightings before we arrive in Gansbaai.

Upon arrival we a hearty breakfast awaits. We then register you onto the dive and issue you with a wetsuit and meet the shark diving crew.

Our crew will hold a pre-trip safety briefing chatting to you about what to expect and a biological breakdown on the Great White Sharks of Cape Town.

And then the adventure begins!! We board the boat and take the 20 minute trip to Dyer Island. Let us rephrase that. Approximately 20 minutes. The sharks could be anywhere and the skipper is going to have to try and find them.

Once the sharks are found, the cage will be lowered into the water and divers nervously draw straws to see whose first.

Depending on weather conditions and shark activity we usually spend about 3 hours observing the sharks.

We then take the trip back to shore where some hot soup and final debrief in the Great White House awaits.

We then drive you back to Cape Town.
