Our passionate rangers have been guiding on safari adventures for over 10 years and know the park intimately. They know where to find the animals.

They know how to track the animals. And most importantly, they know animal behaviors. All of which are vital in the success of a magical Pilanesberg safari adventure. And our tours are not just about the animals. We conduct our tours as though you were a local so you can experience how a South African enjoys the beauty and soul of the bush.

Roaring fires with a good glass of wine while sharing stories and cooking meat on the open fire is our modus operandi in the evenings. Maybe take a stroll under the starry skies to enjoy the sounds of silence and peace that only a South African safari can give you.

Day 1

The 2 Day Pilanesberg safari begins and ends in Johannesburg.

Travel day. Our scheduled 2 Day Pilanesberg safari tours leave from Johannesburg at 06H30. Your guide for the duration of the safari vacation will meet you at your hotel. And then we load up the vehicle, bid the city a not so fond farewell and head towards the Province of North West. The drive takes about 2 hours.

Upon arrival, we get you settled into your accommodation and freshen up before we head into the Pilanesberg for our first safari experience. We usually spend the next 5 hours in the park observing the wild animal with your guide. We head on back to camp by about 15H00 where you have some free time for a siesta, swim or ice cold beer. In the afternoon we pile you into our game vehicle to enjoy ‘sundowner’ safari drive-one of the best times for spotting lions.

Compulsory sunset beers or wine on the drive. A relaxing dinner served under the starry African night skies awaits your return. Then it’s a glass of wine around the roaring fire and off to bed with your favorite teddy bear.

Day 2

Enjoy the magic of an African sunrise that the Pilanesberg is famous for. But not from the luxury of your accommodation. Poor you. Today is an early start today.

We wake up at 05H00, wash the sleep out of your eyes, enjoy a nice cup of steaming coffee and pile into the Landrover for a 3 hour tour of the Pilanesberg. The early morning is a perfect time to see lions. At about 09H00 we will fill your empty stomachs with a scrumptious breakfasts and talk about all the awesome wildlife that you saw on the safari.

We will then spend the rest of the day driving around the park observing the many animals that can be found in the park. A homemade lunch is served in a secluded ‘hide’ next to a watering hole favoured by elephants and rhino. And about 16H00, we bid the Pilanesberg a fond farewell and take the 2 hour drive back to Johannesburg.
